If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have a local connection to Bedfordshire, Amicus Trust may be able to support you.

Support available includes;

  • Accommodation for up to 2 years
  • Personal development plan and Key Work
  • Signposting and support in areas such as mental and physical health, education and employment
  • One-to-one support in basic skills and employment (Stepping Stones Project)
  • Mental Health support (Bedford Mental Health Project)
All of our Bedfordshire properties are well equipped and located in residential streets within the community, you will have access to a secure individual bedroom as well as shared communal areas including bathrooms,  kitchen, living room and garden. Regular house meetings create a sense of community and help to keep the house running smoothly.

Dedicated Housing Management Workers are there to ensure service levels within the accommodation and to support you as you progress towards moving on to your own home.


Are you eligible for support?

To be eligible for accommodation you will need to be;
  • Aged between 16 - 65 years old
  • Ideally have a local connection to the town in which operate (not required for Veterans)
  • Be homeless or at risk of homelessness

Amicus has 6 accommodation projects in Bedford, comprising of clusters of well equipped houses throughout the town, including Perkins which is dedicated to housing women and The Bridge for single men.

We also have a house dedicated to the support of homeless veterans of the UK Armed Forces

Sandy 

12 houses are available in the town of Sandy, including one house dedicated to the support of homeless veterans

Leighton Buzzard

Amicus currently has 3 houses in the large market town of Leighton Buzzard, which is close to Milton Keynes and borders with Buckinghamshire. 

Flitwick

Our Flitwick house is dedicated to support of homeless veterans

Aspley Guise

Also located close to Milton Keynes, Amicus Trust have 1 property in the small town of Aspley Guise which is dedicated to the support of homeless veterans.

Maulden 

This small rural village has 2 Amicus Trust properties suitable for individuals who are homeless but currently in or ready for employment. 

Luton & Dunstable 

As one of the largest towns in the region, Amicus Trust provides 7  well-equipped houses in the Luton and Dunstable region. 

Almshouse

Charlotte Beaty Almshouse, Newport Pagnell

Charlotte Beaty Almshouse consists of four one-bedroom flats, with two flats on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Established in 1850 and modernised in 1984, this is a Grade II listed building in a conservation area. Visit Page  >>
