Allotment Project in Maulden

The acquisition of a “waiting to be revived” allotment plot, with the help of Maulden Parish Council, marks the beginning of an engaging community endeavour.

Local contractors kindly did some initial heavy-duty preparation, so it was not quite so daunting!

We then took over- constructing a shed, which will serve as a practical hub for the project, and introducing a water collection system. Following this, our residents have been eager to participate- planting seeds and cultivating the land. There's a palpable sense of anticipation as individuals look forward to actively shaping this green space.

Engaging in horticulture offers benefits beyond the garden itself, potentially improving mental well-being and fostering a sense of accomplishment through tangible progress. The shared effort of cultivation promises to be a rewarding experience for everyone involved!
