Looking for somewhere to call home?
Thinking about finding a place to call home? Start by registering as homeless with your local district council
Find out how to register here: FAQ / How to register as Homeless
This is the first step before applying for housing.
Once that’s done, the team at Amicus Trust will be here to support you through every stage of your housing journey. Together, we’ll work towards securing a safe and comfortable place you can call home.
Mental Health support
Current estimates suggest that 25% of adults in England & Wales are experiencing mental health problems each year. This number rises to 45% of adults facing homelessness, and of those sleeping rough the number rises again to 80% of that community facing poor mental health.
As well as mental health, we understand that practical skills and knowledge are also vital to people’s confidence and progression. These are offered by our Life Skills Team.
Mental health support is available to residents and non-residents. Please complete the referral form to enquire.
Life Skills Courses
These courses are free and set up for the residents of Amicus Trust. The aim of the courses is to provide the residents with the skills they need to live independently or to support them getting into employment.
These range from painting and decorating courses to basic IT skills to budgeting courses, with different courses available to different areas throughout the year. Please have a look at the courses available.
