Pal-entines Celebrations at Perkins House

Housing Management Worker at our all female project in Bedford, Perkins House, updated us on a lovely story about the valentines and friendship activities over at Perkins House in Bedford. Staff organised a whole week celebration around Valentine’s and Friendship day this month. Activities included creating decoration, cooking meals and baking cupcakes.

They also held 2 quizzes , which the residents really enjoyed. On the last day of celebration, the
ladies made a special cake for the Head Office staff.

Perkin’s staff aim to arrange activities from time to time to keep the residents engaged and to give them a chance to learn new skills or refine existing ones. These activities are proving very helpful in improving their mental well-being.

Charlotte, the Rep of the house discussed ideas and areas of interests with the residents and liaised
with the staff in organising events. Our next event is going to be celebrating the Pancake Day 2022 on 1st March. They
are very excited about showing off their culinary skills in making pancakes.

Staff and residents at Perkins House raised their own funds for this activity, Esme, Housing Management Worker at the project also approached other charities for support with the celebrations. A big thank you to all that was involved.

The women at Perkins have more activities planned including pancake day!
