Meet The Teams

Chief Executive Officer, Dominic Ball

After 22 years in Local Government, I joined Amicus Trust in May 2023. One of the things that initially attracted me to the public sector was the opportunity to improve the lives and outcomes of the community within which I lived. As my career progressed that local connection got lost along the way as I moved between councils. I moved to Bedford in 2017 and I’ve been looking for the right opportunity to rebuild the connection between where I choose to live and the work that I do.

We should all have the right to somewhere to call home and I intend to make Amicus a first step toward independent living for as many people as we can support.

The Board of Trustees

Amicus trust is a registered charity and as such all strategic decision making is taken by a board made up of volunteers with a diverse range of talents.

The Management Team

The Management Team is dedicated to the support of staff and the welfare and development of Service Users. Amicus has managers in post for Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Health and Safety, and Mental Health.

Housing support staff

Each house is staffed with Housing Management Workers who ensure the service levels within the house and provide keywork to the service users inline with their personal development plan. Staff and service users are also supported by a Senior Housing Management Worker .

Outreach Staff

Our Outreach team are specialists in their fields and deliver additional support in mental health, education, employment and life skills.

Staff are seen as the most important resource within Amicus Trust. To reflect this Amicus Trust is committed to staff training and development, and promotes staff/client involvement in all major strategic discussions. We recruit & promote on merit alone.
