Amicus Trust Supports Priory Primary School Careers Fortnight

Amicus Trust recently had the pleasure of visiting Priory Primary School in Bedford as part of their Careers Fortnight, where we delivered a short assembly to pupils about the world of work and the importance of developing key skills.

Our Finance assistant, Mitch, alongside Rebecca our HR administrator, spoke to the students about the different roles within Amicus Trust and how the skills they are learning in school—such as maths, communication, teamwork and kindness—are the same skills used in the workplace every day

During the assembly, we discussed how different careers contribute to supporting communities and shared how the work we do at Amicus Trust helps individuals who need safe homes and support. The pupils engaged brilliantly with the session, asking thoughtful questions and showing great enthusiasm throughout.

It was fantastic to see such strong engagement from the students, and we hope the session helped them understand how the skills they are developing now can help them make a positive difference in the future.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the staff and pupils at Priory Primary School for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to take part in such a meaningful event. It was a pleasure to contribute to Careers Fortnight and speak with the pupils about the many ways they can support their communities as they grow.

At Amicus Trust, we are proud to support initiatives that encourage young people to explore their future opportunities and recognise the value of the skills they are building today.
